Installing the torque arm relocation bracket. Having issues unbolting the arm off the transmission. Got the one lower bolt out but the top one is too long to come out without dropping the transmission and the other is behind the bushing. Can't really lower it much more it seems. Am I missing something?

Lower the trans. There is no other way.

Would it matter much if the rear end is supported or should I support the chassis in the rear and let the rear end hang?

Probably need to pull the driveshaft so the trans can drop down, at that point it wont matter what the rear end is doing. Yes they are a pain in the but bc room is so tight in the tunnel.

I just replaced my torque arm and I didn't have to do anything but remove the crossmember. The driveshaft was also off since I was doing some diff work.

What he is saying is he cant get the bolt out of the top of the trans, the tunnel is in the way.

Ended up cutting the bottom bolt off that is in the "clam shell". Once that was done I took the outer clamshell off and then removed the inner. Going to just leave that bolt in at the top. I couldnt get the transmission down far enough even with the driveshaft removed. I did find that the torque arm bushing was broken and it was a poly one. Going to order it and a poly transmission mount too.

Finally got it. Worked on it on and off also installed double adjustable rod end lcas. Need to get the pinion angle set then ready to track test. Should be interesting between those changes and removing the under the dash ac stuff and passenger airbag. May go ahead and do the rear bumper support also.
