Unhappy Loud bang from rear

Hey guys...need some of your expertise here...I have a loud bang seems to be coming from the rear of the car...it usually occurs when starting from a stop and when shifting (stage II shift kit). I thought maybe a shock...but I replaced them and it hasn't changed much...it seems to be getting worse....where is the torque arm? Could it be loose?? it seems to be something shifting in the rear suspension...but what?? more so on the right side......

from my personal experience when my torsen was on its last leg it was eating teeth and would make bangs going around corners & under fairly hard accelleration...might want to look into that.

It really could be a lot of things. With my car, at my 15th track event, a loud noise was coming from rear, whenever the momentum would change (i.e. rear would load and unload). Worst noise was leaving or coming to a stop. I had a buddy get on the ground, and I slowly went forward and back until he identified the banging --- rear axle was banging my upgraded 3" pipe into floorboard. I hope your fix is as easy....

You might want to check the transmission mount.

Yep, good idea to check your torque arm too. It sits beside (and under) your driveshaft. Get your car up on stands, and tighten the 2 big bolts on the rear, but DONT forget about the front. Check every bolt you can find.

It can also be your exhaust banging if you recently installed longtubes or a new exhaust system. Poly Motor Mounts would fix that all up though.
