Default What are symptoms of a bad abs pump/block, not module

This is about my 2002 taurus dd. Posted on taurus forums but got very little. Long story short, even tho i have no warning lights, dealership says bad abs module because they are getting fault codes, but chased wires and found good connections, but they also wanna replace the pump. Weird thing is i have no abs or brake warning lights.

Main corncerns are that the rear brakes lock up under hard stops, greatly reducing stopping distance. and almost feels like its 40 front 60 rear brake bias. Pedal is softish. Also have no abs or tcs, tested on dirt road.

Before i send out my module to be rebuilt, wondering if i should just spend the same money and replace both, meaning ill need to spill fluid everywhere and rebleed, which i just did 3 months ago. Twice the work.

So what stmptoms have u guys found in pumps?
