Default No more aimco rotors at autozone

I was just checking out their website and noticed that the midgrade rotors are now called Duralast (autozone house brand), not Aimco. Wonder if they're the same as the aimcos or are they whatever rotors they can get, including third world country ones.

I'm wondering the same thing. Took a trip to autozone yesterday and they only had the duralast. Its the same model # as the aimco, but don't know if they're the same. For $40/ea I think I'm just going to go ahead and give them a try.

I'm debating whether I should spend a little more and get the Brembo OEM rotors @ $87/ea, or just get the durastop rotors from autozone

The Duralasts are the Aimcos renamed. Right now they are still in the Aimco box and everything. They are listed in the system as Aimco/Duralast. They are renaming all their ****. All the Perfect Circle brand suspension parts are being renamed Duralast suspension parts. All the lower end brands are being renamed Valucraft. Some day you will walk into Autozone and there will be only two labels, Duralast and Valucraft. Why? Cause the corporate AutoZone is a bunch of monkey's tied to desks, thinking of ideas to improve the place, but they all suck.

I have 30k miles on a set of aimco rotors on a Chevy Venture minivan, driven daily in Chicago rush hour traffic. I beat the living sh*t out of the brakes, the rotors are solid as a rock.
