Default Improved Braking?

Looking to improve my braking, but a new big brake kit is a little out of my range right now. What can I do to get shorter stops and less fade.

Good pads and brake fluid will go a long way for not much $$.

I have read that using the Brembo blank rotors: http://www.tirerack.com/brakes/brake...lacement+Rotor
And the Hawk pads: http://www.tirerack.com/brakes/brake...eet+brake+pads
are the way to go, due to drilled and slotted rotors having a tendency to crack, especially if using them for street use. Also, replacement brake lines will also help: http://www.tirerack.com/brakes/resul...=perf&x=81&y=7
