Default deCarbon help please

I just put some Eibach prokit springs on my 99SS and was tight on money so I ordered some take off de carbons from SLP to replace the old ones while I was at it.
I noticed the rear ones that I received from SLP ,that they say are off of z28's are smaller in diameter. They all have different numbers
Original SS rear-R4 ... / SLP Take offs N2 (thinner)
Original SS fronts - J9 / SLP take offs EK
I have searched all over and contacted both GM and ACdelco
and they are of no help since these de carbons are discontinued..
Does anyone know how I can get these numbers checked to see what
the differences is... I hope I am no going to mess up my new springs
by running these thinner shocks in the rears..
Thanks for any help...

They are Z28 shocks.. They aren't the same decarbons that came on your SS

How do you figure that they are not the same? I got the 'performance ride and handling option' on my Z and my DeCarbons are the same as the SS...
I know because I compared mine with an SS.

If its a take off from SLP that means it was taken off a Z to put the SS part on. Unless you have a 1le how could SLP modify your Z if it was never built there?

Default SS deCarbons

Thank Youfor the replys..
I did a little more research and found this on http://camarossworld.com/
in the FAQ ...ALL... SSFAQS section

:SS adds/changes:

17x9 cast aluminum painted wheels
275/40ZR-17 Goodyear F1 tires
front shocks: deCarbon 46mm
front springs: 360 lb/in (63 N/mm)
front sway bar: 32mm (tube)
rear shocks: deCarbon 36mm
rear springs: 130-180 lb/in (23-32 N/mm)
rear sway bar: 19mm

Which now explains why my SS deCarbons were larger diameter in the rears
then the SLP take offs which they said are off the Z28's they sent me.

I went ahead a put the Z28 new ones from SLP on the SS with the new
Eibach prokit springs and it looks fine and feels fine (a little soft in the rear
but not bottomming out yet... 300 miles on them in the last two days)
I just did want to put too much stress on the new springs in the long run with softer shocks..
I hope this will not be the case....

Nope, the springs will hold up fine - in fact it's the other way around. You can have shocks that can't handle the increased spring rate. Fortunately, you put Eibach's on, which have a soft enough spring rate to where you can just squeak by with stock shocks.
