Default Changing pads, using same rotors.

Rotors are dimpled and slotted. They have only about 3k miles on them. The pads suck...they fade after one 1/4 mile pass at the track and just after a few hard brakes on the twisties....

What can be done to save the rotors....and to prevent squeaking? Scuff the rotors with sand paper, or?

BTW the pads are raybestos quiet stops, the ceramic ones.

Default

Shouldn't have any issues, if the rotors are not warped. I do not believe in cutting rotors.

As for squeaking, that is usually a cuase of the pad vibrating or moving in the caliper, make sure to use some "Disc Brake Quiet" between pad and piston, and you should be OK.
