p/s pump broke, can i drive without it

Default p/s pump broke, can i drive without it

my p/s pump is screwed up and i bypassed the pump and have no power steering now. is it ok to drive around about a week or so until i get a new pump? thanks

NOOOOOOO, it is highly dangerous!! Just kidding, it makes it more difficult to stear, manuever, etc. not to mention, if your lines aren't plugged or you pump it will spew fluid all over the damn place. I've driven an AMX, Monte, and 3rd gen. Camaro without
the pump connected...tough as hell to steer at low mph and surely builds up your arms.

ok cool, just wanted to make sure it wouldnt really mess up the rack, but i just figured it wouldnt be anything more than a good work out lol
