Default Weird shocks question....

I purchased some used Hal's. Now I have a strange question. When I compress the rear shocks, they done rebound by themselves...? THey are supposed to slowly extend back arent they?

I'm trying to think back awhile but I don't think mine ever did either, they deffinatly don't on the lower settings. Not sure if they are suposed to or not when they are set on like 10 to 12.

Also, the springs that are mounted on them are Black. Every picture ive seen of hal's has silver springs. Can hal springs be black?

Mine didn't. I believe they rely on the coil springs to return them to extension.
