Default Lowered w/3" exhaust

Anyone running 3" true duals lowered? I'm a little worried about scraping and am considering selling my 3" setup and going with 2.5". The car will be lowered within 3 months.

All depends on what you're willing to deal with...

Actually I get by fairly well. Would I recommend it for everyday driving? No. For limited street/track, however, I don't find it a problem because I'm careful. Again, it all depends on what you're looking for from the car.

Just keep these things in mind when debating 2.5" vs. 3":

1) 2.5" pipe isn't going to buy you much more than 1/4" additional clearance under the notoriously tight driver's side floor (assuming a frame clearance piece is used in both cases).

2) My 3" Dynomax bullets have the same overall diameter as the 2.5" bullets (4"). Good luck finding a smaller muffler. Only option here is modifying floorpan or running out the back to gain more room.

3) You still need clearance under/around the driveshaft, TA, and DSL, which will push the exhaust system down.

Nevermind clearance... You might not like the ride! I have a 1" drop and SLP LT's (which are probably the lowest hanging LT) I can deal with being careful, I don't drive my car all that much, but the tank-like ride is getting on my nerves. I'm going to try upgrading to a nice adjustable shock before springing her back up to stock ride height. I have about 2.75" of clearance to the collector (I'm slowly making more room though )

I know that 1/4" really sounds like it won't make much difference, but from what I've actually seen, my buddies 2.5" duals look like they have much more clearance than my 3" Maybe he had a better job done, who knows. Any of you 2.5" guys have problems lowered?
