Torque Arm Selection
I just installed a Moser 12 bolt in my car. I want to replace my factory torque arm. The transmission mount is wasted and doesnt tighten so well anymore. I was thinking of getting a tunnel mount torque arm, but I am unsure what the tradeoffs would be. I have KBB Double Diamond subframes. Any suggestions on what torque arm to go with? Also does anyone know if installing a 12 bolt with a stock torque arm alters the pinion angle?

I would opt for the non tail-shaft mouned one. I have an SLP adjustable one that mounts to the tail shaft and it made a HUGE difference in traction along with my BMR boxed control arms. However, if I could do it over I would have gotten the one that connects to the transmisson cross brace because the other now causes my tailshaft to hit the undercarrage of the car when you shift hard to 2 and 3rd. Plus youll go through fewer trans mounts wiht that style.

Personally, I'm a big fan of the LG TA, but if you must have one that doesn't attach to the tailshaft then you should really check this out: http://www.unbalancedengineering.com/Camaro/TA/

I would check out MADMANS torque arm. I run that since I bent and and broke about 3 different ones and have never had a problem since. The car will 60 in the high 1.2s on a good track and is consistently 1.30-1.31.

I will take some pics of mine and post. I have to speak to Brian tommorow and I will see if he has any pics also he can post. Dont know about the 1200.00 version but mine was I think 695.00$ and has no prob. cutting 1.2s on a 3500 pound Race weight. I would not buy anything else.

The Spohn unit is working well for me. If you are "lowered" you will need to do some minor clearancing on the tunnel with a 12 bolt. Other than that I've had no issues (over 2 years in the car).
