brakes----Wilwood 6pistion cheap, little, and powerfull stoping
Suspension----BMR or LG but bmr is more drag design, cheaper and has more
Wheels and tires----CCW with nitto 555r
I have Wilwood, every BMR product,CCW track 11"x17 10"x17 with Nitto 555r and 555r2! I think I have made the BEST suspension for daily driver/drag/cornering in one car no changing anything!

The most important piece will be the shocks. Koni SA in front and Bilstein in the rear is a great combo. Then, *I* would do subframes and 17" wheels. Then comes sway bars, springs, LCA's, PHR, etc.

What about 18 inch wheels? And 2FAST4U, your wheels are 17" wide?
What widths do yall reccomend? I was thinking 18x10.5 and 18x9.5, or should I do 18x10.5 all the way around?
Thanks

No they are 10" wide in front and 11" in back sorry typed it backwards! I run a 275 r2 and 315 555r! Shocks are the most important I use the Koni SA!
My tires are all heat cycled before mounted and race balanced. rims are less than 19lb each lights I have ever found! CCW is the best track wheels hands down! Personaly I would do a roll bar to the major points and skip the SFC altogether! Like this! Way better than any SFC but I still have them too!

LOL, he's talking about improving the handling on his V6 bird, not building a race car.
Floor it, 18x10.5s all around arn't going to fit. I've seen people do 17x11s all around, but moving up to 18s, you lose the ability to do that. A 275/35/18 will do you perfectly up front, and you can run the same out back so you can rotate them.
If I might ask, how come you're spending so much money on your bird? Why not move up to a late model TA?

So, If you cant do 18x10.5,will 18x9.5 be better or will 17x11 be better?
Thanks

17x11 would be better IMO a 18" wheel has less side flex but the with of the 17x11 is better for handling! If the car was some good power 500+ the side wall will help in the straight line!

I was going to say Floor it... You said firebird, so I assumed you meant your current 6 banger.
Sweet car stang killer...
I guess yeah a 285, would work all around. It still must be close though, what offset is he running? On a 10.5" rim, I was assuming he'd run a 295 or 305 tire. Which is a pretty modest thing to do on all 4 corners.
I run 275/35/18s up front with Pilot Sports, 295/35/18s out back. Wheels are iForged polished Senekas. IMO 18s are the ideal "corner carving" setup. Even with full bolt ons, the pilot sports hook up pretty well.
