Default Warped rear rotors?

I have a really bad vibration above 60mph, so I'm hoping it's the rear rotors. The fronts are a month old. How likely is it that one or both of them is warped?

Its possible. The vibration could also be a mis-balanced wheel or driveshaft. Do you always get the vibration when you pass 60mph, or only when you brake from above 60mph?

It happens when I'm going 60+ and sometimes when I'm braking.

Since its happening all the time and not just during braking, its probably a misbalanced wheel. Does the vibration change with braking? Better? worse? Are the wheels new? Are they the correct hub-centric design? If the vibration gets worse with braking, then its the rotors. If not (expecially if it gets better), then its the wheels.

I think I found the culprit. I got some brake fluid underneath some of the weights, and they FELL OFF. Hopefully that is all it is. Thanks for your help Vip!

And yes, it definitely worsens when braking. I hope you're right.

Glad to be of help.

If it worsens during braking though, it could still be warped rotors. Get the wheels rebalanced first and see what happens.

Either way, the rotors need to be replaced.
