Default squeaky rear suspension

My car is making loud and annoying squeaky noises coming from the rear when I go over speed bumps mostly and driving around town. When I push down on the rear of the car you hear the squeaks. My car only has 12,000 miles what can be the cause of this? Any ideas?

Grease your D-bushings on the swaybars. Mine was making some pretty horrible noises (especially when it gets cooler), and it turned out to be rubber on metal groaning. Takes about 10 minutes and is an easy fix, provided that's the noise you're describing.

Thanks for replying . What exactly are the D-bushings? Also what should I grease it with? I have white lithium grease ,can this be used for this fix? I also heard it might be the lower control arms that need to be greased. What do u think?

D-bushings are where the sway bar attaches to the rear axle. If you checkout the pics in this write-up, they point them out very nicely: http://www.installuniversity.com/ins...ar_install.htm

I would use silicon grease. Lithium grease will wash away prety quickly, but silicon grease should last a little longer. Lower control arms are known to have some squeaks and groans too, but I've never greased mine, so I don't now how difficult that would be.

Could be lca or even rear spings.Just replaced my rear springs with some take-offs from gmmg and it fixed my squeak.Come to find out the rear springs were over 1 1/2 shorter w/50,000 miles on them.(woreout) Now its a smooth ride

To grease the D-bushings would I need to take off the sway bar?

It's much easier if you take the swaybar off. If you only take off the D-bushings, you will put a lot of stress on your endlinks. It takes about 10 minutes to take them off, once your car is properly lifted and supported.

check with a mechanic, if your bushes are rubber i'm sure they are not meant to have grease on them as they will perish early.
