Default Matching shocks to spring rates

I have a set of Hotchkis springs sitting around waiting to be installed, and I'm pretty set on Bilstien HDs to go along with them. Most people, from what I have read, recommend revalving Koni's or Bilstiens to match the spring rate and I understand how important this is in Auto-x and road racing. However, my car is a daily driver that makes a few trips to the drag strip so I want a fairly comfortable ride and a decent 60' at the track. Would Bilstien HDs be enough for me, or should I cough up the extra $200 - $300 for revalves? The HDs would better fit my budget, but if it's really worth it I'll consider revalves.

No mater what kind of driving you are doing, you will get the best results if the dampening rate is appropiate for the spring rate. I don't know how stiff the Hotchkiss springs are, but Sam Strano could probably recomend something. Do a search for him; his phone number is in his sig.
