Default Does an 01 SS suspension use 1LE bushings?

I have a stock 01 SS with the base SS suspension. I know the 1LE suspension option has different springs and sway bars but does the SS get the 1LE bushings front or rear? I wanted to put 1LE bushings in the rear suspension but wanted to make sure they wern't already there.

As far as I know, Stock SS's do not have any bushings from the 1LE package.

My 99 SS only got the 1LE springs and front swaybar. all other parts were stock SS except the shocks which were heavier duty orange decarbon shocks. I have pulled off or replaced every suspension part on my car and checked them against the 1le parts. Also I believe in 2000 SLP stopped using the 1LE parts in the SS base suspension, and then offered the 1LE package on the SS for extra cost. the base SS got Z28 parts.

I just got my car and its bone stock. I have the Decarbon shocks whatever they are. I assume Bilsteins would be better. I like the spring rates, I might cut a part coil off the front to bring it down slightly, but I do not really want it any stiffer.

My Grand National uses the same rear suspension bushings and I have some 1 LE bushings to put in the rear arms. I assume its also worthwhile to box the lower arms.

The panhard bar looks pretty spindly to me. Would I notice much by buying a beefier one?

Convertibles were not allowed the 1LE in later years

My SS had all normal bushings. But I got some 1LE LCA
bushings later and pressed them into a set of boxed
stock arms. Stout.

Boxing the LCA's may reduce wheel hop for drag racing, but it's not a good idea for cornering. Those things need to be able to twist to allow your rear suspension to work as independantly as possible. If you want do do something with your LCA's, replace them with rod-end units.

The panhard bar is worth replacing. go to frrax.com and search on "aluminum parhard" to find out how to make one that is both better and cheaper than anything you can buy. Or page trackbird, I think he has a parts list. You can also make your own aluminum, rod-end LCA's by the same method.
