Default Pleased with UMI SFC's

I just had some UMI SFC's (#UMI-2000) welded in to my Camaro SS and am very pleased with the design and fit. The speed shop who welded them up in place was also impressed with their design. Further, their customer service is first-rate as questions were answered via email promptly. I believe UMI is a sponsor for this board and can be found at UMI Performance . Their prices and workmanship are worth checking out.

Just curious, has anyone ever complained about any subframe connectors, considering their terribly intricate design?

Well since they are so easy to make, why dont you start making them and selling them?

I don't have the production resources, pulling together production resources for a car that's no longer produced doesn't make sense, the market is saturated (at least 11 brands), and my time is worth more than the profit margin and additional headaches.

They no longer make the Chevelle and people still buy products for that right? There is 22 years of 3rd and 4th generation F-bodies out there...still plenty to mod and many people to buy products. A smart manufacturer makes products for all types of vehicles to avoid that situation. As for profit some how these companies are doing it...and I am sure they arent doing it for nothing.

And UMI will probably sell just as many if not more, they're cheaper than BMR.

The purpose of the post was to inform others that the UMI product appears to be well made and fits well, intricate or not.

Hi
Do you think you would have a problem with clearnace if you ride is lowere about 1" from stock? I assume my stock Y pipe actually comes below the 1/2" anyway. The shop that will be installing, say they can build from scratch and give me somthing stronger, neater and better fitting. Just trying to decised that to do. Thanks JA

If you have the tubular BMR sfc, they won't cause you to lose any ground clearance
