Question Reboot my suspension...

I'm on the verge of a lotta work on my M6 TA. Turbo is on the way, should result in 550 to 600 rwhp. 9" from Billingsley is also on the way, going with 3.50 and a TrueTrac posi on 35 spline. The car has about 80k miles on stock shocks and springs.

When the new rear goes in, what should I select for new components in the suspension? I currently have double-diamond style subframes, a BMR adjustable torque arm, a BMR adjustable panhard, and beefed-up LCA's with 17" x 10.5" CCW rims. Stock ride height.

The ride is a little harsh right now. My priorities are:

1. Efficient straight-line launching/hookup
2. No lowering
3. Smooth highway cruising
4. Decent cornering... but no autocross, etc.

Anyone care to recommend new shocks/springs that would fit these priorities? Obviously, after the turbo and 9" I'd rather not spend too much on this stuff.

Many thanks in advance for your help...

Rich

Probably just some Bilsteins and stock springs would be fine...

You're going to need a better clutch than stock if you don't already have one.

What about an aftermarket rear sway bar? Only useful for twisty driving... or will it help keep the rear from squatting to one side on launch?
