Default How do you adjust the Emergency Brake?

I have A 99 TA and I can not figure out how to adjust the emergency brake? Is there a way to do it? Seems like the emergency brake comes up way to high. Is there a way to adjust this? Let me know, Thanks, Ark

It's normal. The e-brake is self adjusting. They all come that high on ls1 cars.

Yeah they should be self adjusting, if it comes up too high, I just put it down, pull it back up a few times, and that seems to work actually (makes it tighter / harder to pull up)

Mine does seem to come up a tinny bit Hight But I took the console apart and saw the spring that does the adjusting. I think I may try to clean / lube all the cables where they slide threw the tubes and see if that help the sring pull them in a little tighter? I will live with it regaurdless BUT it seems to come up higher that I would like.

you can adjust the brake shoe if you pull of the rear rotor and there is a little adjustment. IT has a little gear looking thing that you can turn.
