Default ABS delete and safety inspection

If I delete my ABS (using ABS delete kit) will my ABS Inop light be on? Will my car fail safety inspection if the ABS doesn't work?

TIA

The ABS light will stay on. I just took the light out of mine. It's not that hard.

So it will pass the OBDII test with the ABS having problems (or disabled)?

Did you remove ABS for a weight savings or something else?

The OBD2 test just checks the powertrain control module (PCM) for emissions related codes, it couldn't care less about the abs light, that has nothing to do with the emissions control equipment.
Now whether or not the safety guy lets it pass, I would think that it wouldn't matter, lots of cars don't have ABS, and as long as the brakes still work, they shouldn't have a problem, you might call around and ask if having an ABS light on is an automatic failure

I am going to remove it to save weight and put different diameter tires on front vs. rear.

Good idea 2K2WS6TA.

I called a place today. They said it won't fail with the light on, just get an "advise".
