Yes, they are different if they are the original ones that came with your 1LE. About two or three years ago, I heard GM went to the same stock number for 1LE and stock springs, but I haven't confirmed this. If so, it would make it hard for you to get true replacements - you'd get stuck with the stock crap.

If you need replacements, you might check out what SLP put out in their 1LE packages in later years.

Great car. Never sell it.

Yes, they are different I believe. I drove a 98 mystic teal Z28 M6 that was a 1LE car. It rode a lot different than a stock Z28. The 1LE suspension was alot stiffer to me.

From memory, fronts are 360#. I have the 1LE springs/shocks/sways on my V6. Very stiff. Handles great. My 00Z has stock suspension and it's way softer.

1LE.net gives all the part #'s for the parts used and lists the 98-99 fronts for LS1 at 360 #/in rate and the rears are progressive at 130-170 #/in. There are several other lists of spring rates on the WEB. Here is one: http://www.angelfire.com/my/fastcar/suspension.html
