My car starts to shake after about 65mph, I was wondering if its time for an alignment or what? I just slapped on some new tires about 3 months ago and it didnt used to do it with my other tires. I got rebalanced after i put the new tires on and it was running cool, but now i feel that it starts to vibrate a bit on the freeways. Whats wrong alignment or balancing?!?!?!?

Your driveshaft could be out of balance. I had the counterweight on my fox body mustang fly off the driveshaft and it had a wicked vibration from 70-80mph. Rebalanced the driveshaft and it went away.

could be the U-Joints in the driveshaft, and not the shaft itself. Take it to a trans shop and have them inspect the U-joints 1st before you play the "Replace this part & that part" game.

Check your wheels and make sure the weights from the balancing of the wheels didnt come off..

check the simple things first, most likely to be out of balance tires or slipped belt

alignment isnt going to cause a vibration, it will cause excessive tire wear, the car will pull in one direction, or you have to have the steering wheel turned to go straight

My car also vibrates constantly anytime above 65 mph (my rear tires are worn though), have you tried anything that either helped out or made it completely go away?

If you get your tires rebalanced, insist on a "road force" ballance. It costs more but the balance machine presses a roller against the tire to simulate "road force" for a more accurate ballance and to determine defects in the tire.

i used to work at a place with a road force machine, its pretty nice, not all places have one of those tho, im pretty sure all discount tire places do

Check your tires/wheels first and make sure there are balanced. Also check your drive shaft. An out of alignment car will not cause a vibration, which is a common mistake people think.

Were your wheels torqued the proper way? Are all the lugs tight. I was having a viberation problem from 55+. It was because my wheel were not torqued correctly and locking lug was not tight(thank you tire shop). I would check that take the wheels off and just retorque them if that does't help the shop that installed the tires should be able to check if there balanced at no charge. Rule out the easy/obvious stuff first.

Mine also vibrates above 65 and has done it since it was completely stock. The new wheels/tires didn't affect it but the new poly tranny mount did make it a lot worse.
