Is it possible to convert a 98 camaro to magnasteer?

WTF is magnasteer? Is that what the Bonnevilles have?
I have a feeling this is analogous to "Can I put Vtec on my LS1?"

Its an electromagnetic steering system instead of hydraulic. I have no clue about retrofit.

youre right, i think some bonnevilles do have it. caddies too. but im talking about the rack from a corvette - i hadnt actually meant any of the other GM vehicles that have it, only the vette rack. Not sure how the bracketing to get it onto my camaro would work out, im sure theyre not the same and how the rack->tie rod->knuckle connections would work out. So I guess if transferring corvette technology into a camaro is like putting a vtec in , thats what i want...although wouldnt corvette tech to camaro be more like putting an ls1 in?

Sorry, when I said Vtec, I meant variable valve timing. The Magnasteer swap is like yes you can do anything but it would be a waste of time and money. Why not just get a vette?

NP...VVT would be neat. But why not just get a porsche? jk. The camaro was my first car and I'm planning on keeping it as my baby. The vette is an '01.

As I remember, some have complained that the magnasteer lacks road feel. I can't say since I just don't remember how it felt to drive one. I'm not sure it's really an upgrade. It might be a cool thing to add to your signature and look impressive, but I think you'll spend a ton of money for the "cool factor". If you really just want to do it, good luck and let us know how it goes. I just don't think you'll see any real gains from it.

I can't say that I've got any idea if it will swap/retrofit at all or the difficulty of such a swap.

Good luck!
