Default K members and A arms

What does everyone think about these? I'm thinking of using them to take some weight off of the front end.

Since I don't know if you've seen these before or not I'll give a link to them. I haven't installed my a-arms yet(waiting for shock to be repaired and also ordering upper a-arms shortly) but last weekend I started the K-member. It took about 2 1/2hrs to get this far working at a slow pace

BEFORE

AFTER

I think both units will drop somewhere around 40lbs for the CM units

I like them

Has anyone had a lot of driving time with a lightweight k member? How's road feel, any more chassis flex, noise?

I don't see there being any more chassis flex with this piece. The stocker feels not very rigid. I mena its heavy and all but well it hard to explain. The aftermarket one has a very rugged feeling to it. Did that make sense

I've had my k-member and a-arms on since April. Once the joints break in the steering feels much better than stock, to me at least. The joints will make a nice popping noise as well, but all you have to do is take a nice sized glob of grease and smear it all over them.

Thanks for the info and the pics. I might get me one of these along with the a arms. I could stand to lose 40 lbs.

Bob20f3 are you going with new springs and shocks also?

Is there an alternative to HAL's? I've seen some that were 3 way adjustable. I'll get the name and post again.

Cool. It's something I'm considering for a winter project. I have a 6.0L iron block I'll eventually build an engine with, so removing weight will kinda even things out.

I've driven mine w/ the ARE K Member and A arms for the summer with no real problems.

There is alot less noise transmittal than I thought there would be.

Cool28, I read somewhere that one of the K members didn't work with an INCON kit, you might want to check into that before you drop the money on a CM piece.

The PARacing guys will work with you and make adjustments for turbos, steering racks, whatever you need. Real nice guys to deal with.

I think I may invest in one of these K members. We need to get a group purchase going if there's enough interest.
