You don't have to but for best ride/handling & overall performance you should. Plus look into an adjustable panhard rod to re-center your rear end & LCA relo brackets for best traction. Also becareful which type of shocks you buy when you lower, some don't work well on lowered cars. Re-valved Bilsteins & Koni adjustables are the best IMO.
