Default Grease poly endlinks?

Getting ready to install new front and rear swaybars along with poly bushings/endlinks. Install University says not to grease the endlink bushings - is this correct? Any particular reason not to?

Thanks!

I greased them all good. Every contact area. Remember to get the bushings on tight and endlinks on just a little tight.

there isn't a good reason to do it

friction may be a good thing when your sway bar is loaded

Thanks for the input.

After some more research it appears that applying grease to the endlink bushings isn't necessary (still haven't figured out exactly why, though <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> ). This is supported by the fact that my Prothane endlink kit did not come with grease, but the D-bushings did.

For my installation I lubed the D-bushings and not the endlinks. Subsequent test drive showed no squeaking or noises of any kind.

if you believe that there is a good reason to lubricate, then that belief implies that you also believe that there is friction in those areas which is causing noise

i dunno if you're trying to be a smartass or not.. but if you're trying to say that they need to be greased, then you must also believe that friction is occuring

i know there is friction, and it doesn't make enough noise to notice while driving the car

I greased them originally, removed them a few times and haven't greased them since. I doubt this friction is of any importance. I never had any noises. It's the bushings that make noise over bumps if you don't tighten them down good.
