Default What should I do to my rotors/pads before install?

I know some people take die grinders to the rotors and smooth them out, but I don't own a die grinder.

I just got a set of drilled/slotted rotors and ceramic pads and I'd like everything to go smoothly. Any tips?

I have never heard of anyone taking a die grinder to a new set of rotors. That would probably ruin them.

All you need to do is clean the new rotors with brake cleaner to remove oil & dirt.
