Default Lowering Springs

I am near purchasing 18" Z06 Vette rims for my car and I most definately want to lower the car but i dont want it "slammed". I'm planning on getting either the eibach pro springs or the G2 Super Springs. Correct me if i'm wrong but, it looks like to me they lower the car about the same amount. I'm not sure about the ride though. Which ones perform and ride better?

The G2 lowering springs will lower the car 1.5" in the front and 1 5/8" in the rear. They were designed at the track, not on a piece of paper, so we KNOW that they work well. Unfortunately, we're out of stock on our G2 super springs. It will be 6-8 weeks before we get anymore in. We do have the Hypercoil springs in stock, though, and they're on sale for $169 for the set. They will drop the car 1.25" all the way around, and they won't be quite as harsh as the G2 springs.

Let me know if you would like to get a set coming to you. They would work GREAT with a set of Bilstein shocks, and we also have those in stock.

I had Hypercoils and hated `em. Too bouncy in the back.. too stiff in the front.
I redid everything cause I couldn`t stand the ride.. lowered the Hawk using Hals with stock springs in front, took out the spring isolators in the rear.
Turn up the Hals to 8 and it handles great.. turn `em down to 1 for the track. Best of both worlds IMOP.

I suppose i'll just go with an eibach prokit and maybe sell them later for some G2s, whenever that may be.

I did the SLP Eibachs, since I feltgave me the most flexablity on the lowering height. I feel the SLP Eibach has the perfect stance for the rear, but was too high in the front, so I cut off half a coil on the front springs and the stance is perfect. Pics in the SIG.

I also have a Berger with the 1.5" drop Eibachs and I personally feel the bakc is too low, and there is not enough travel in the spring either. The front is perfect. I guess you could buy the SLP rear springs and the ProKit front springs and have the perfect look.

I love my G2's, they sit the car perfectly level with my setup and look great. My friend put them on his 2002 Z28 and they had the same great stance. They handle very well, and with my friends 17's all the way around, the ride wasnt bad at all. My 18's with 35 series tires are a different matter though, and thats due to the tires, not the springs. Good luck,

Trevor, is it really going to be another 6-8 weeks from now until you guys get some more in?

I am considering these for the new Z but above all else I want to maintain as close to stock ride as possible.
