3 to 4 all the way around the car. It's hard to get a good setting with Hal's on the street. If you go much higher on the settings it will ride like a rock and if you go to low it will ride like a bouncy sponge

I run mine on 4 front and rear. Sometimes I'll stiffen up the front a little bit... single adjustables with the Eibach prokit.

I have the stock springs and I get a lot of bounce from the front QA1s. To reduce the bounce I run the fronts at click 8. I don't think it is any more harsh than the stock deCarbon shocks were.

I have qa1's on all 4 corners and lowered 1" .. it is very bouncy and seemingly unstable when turning at higher speeds. What is the best setting for street driving? Right now I have all 4 set to 7 clicks.

Which ridetech setup did you get and where did you mount air tank and controls? (if you already posted in a thread, please post link).

idk if this helps, i went from viking warriors (basically qa1), to strano umi afco, to kw variant 3, then the ridetech kit, the $1700 one with fox single adjustables........you can say i guess im picky about shocks. The ridetech was the most streetable kit out of all them, but i didnt have the patience to do a bunch of setting changes with the KW. Would certainly recommend the ridetech kit if you see a lot of street miles.

Is the Ridetech kit you got an air-ride or coil-overs?

Are those adjustable?

For my QA1's I set my front to 9 and rear to 7 and that helped a bit. I then later set the rear to 5 and while it is still better than all four set to 7, its still more wobbly than I'd like it to be.

Yes the level 2's are adjustable. 25 set points I believe.

I had the adjustable qa1's and I never found a setpoint that felt good on the street. Never found one I liked for corner carving either.

Had a set on my GTO from maverick man (similar to peddars design). After installing those i knew i had to revisit the bird. Even not dialed in ridetechs were so much better. I am happy with fronts now but im still playing with the back. On a harsh bump its still a but jarring, ao its either to stiff or a need to raise the back up some more to get more spring.

they aren't cheap, but I don't regret the purchase

yea i wish i bought the ridetechs awhile ago. yea level 2 is rebound adjustable only. its just a great all around shock for the fbody. not wobbly at all, feels stable. the non gas charged vikings never stopped bouncing on the street. i believe the qa1 arent gas charged either

so myparticular setup is mildly different. i have a fab 9 inch so i have larger than stock axle tubes. with strano springs, im right about .75 to 1 inch of drop in the rear which pretty much evens the fender to tire gap all around the wheel well. since i like that look and i didnt need ride height adjustability out back, i went with a smooth body, stock style single adjustable in the rear, so stock spring mounting. the smooth bodies are a little cheaper if you already have a rear spring you like. the fronts are a typical coilover. if you do call ridetech tho, you have to override their pushy suggestions to run the 325-350springs in the front, and go right to 500. the highest spring rate that is made anymore in our size through hyperco i think was a 500 pound spring, and it feels really really good.

I stayed with their suggestions and I have an iron block, I just dont think that high load a spring is needed with a good shock/strut combo that is gas charged. Something both QA1 and Viking are not, they rely on that heavier load spring because their strut has very little rebound capability. They are great at load transfer for weight shift during launch and drag and too a degree the same in harsh cornering, but the way they manage returning to neutral state by relying on that heavier load spring leads to that bouncy unstable feeling on the street.

i get it. maybe i just prefer a slightly stiffer feel, but i did think the strano umi afco were too stiff and were on the verge of just driving over the bumps rather then "absorbing" them if that makes sense.

How much do they lower the car? My QA1's are 1" lower.

Thanks for the updates. I'm looking for comfort while keeping good handling. My car is stock springs with Koni Yellow Adjustables. So that is why I was curious about air suspensions.
