Default v6 rear springs???

I've got a 99 ta...just wondering i know some people run the v6 springs in the rear for racing... whats the benefit and will it lower the rear of the car any? any idea what the spring rate is???

If you're going to do that for weight transfer, only get V6 rear springs off a '93-'97 car. The 98+ V6 and V8 cars shared the same rear springs, 114lb-in rate. The '93-97 V6 springs were 95lb-in.

I may do this ...since they are all over the junk yards....will it lower the rear of the car any???

If you want to lower it on the cheap then take the rubber isolater off the top of the spring and put heater hose around the first coil

Yeah, don't go out and get a softer spring for the purpose of lowering your car. If you're looking for weight transfer at the dragstrip, that's one thing, but expect handling to get weird having a 20% softer spring in the back.

Like mentioned above, for lowering the rear to level the car out, remove the isolator from the top of the spring and slip heater hose over the spring.
