Default Qa1 275 springs and R series shocks single adjustable

I just installed these and I can't do anything with ride height. Im beginning to think that you can't get it any higher than what it is now. it's pretty low to low for driving on the street. Anyone have any suggestions maybe go with the 300 spring? I dunno put the stock ones back in with those shocks. Im just lost right now and need some advice.

so do you just have to keep cranking on it to get it higher? How will it perform on the track if it is cranked up? Will it damage the shock? if it extends to far they recommend 12.50 compressed and 18.75 extended?
Again thanks for the response.

i run the same springs and was told by a local guy who has a 9 second mopar and it pretty smart as far as racing goes that a 275 pound spring is way to much especially for a full weight car. he said that by compressing the spring that tight to get the car to sit right that it can bind the spring and give you less "pop" out of the whole therefore making it harder your car to do its job becuase at this point you are relying completly on low end torque instead of having the suspension set up right and letting it do its job. i have also thought about switching a to a 300 pound spring and have open ears on this discussion!

With the 275 springs the perch will be 3/4 of the way up the shock to even be at stock height. You will need to keep cranking them up to get it higher, almost to the top.

The problem you will run into is if the vehicle is full weight the springs will settle and the height will go lower and will need readjusted, esp. after a few hard launches. If the vehicle is full weight and driven on the street I would recommend going with the 300lb springs, if you have front weight reduction and its not driven on the street you may be ok.

Hope that helps,
Ryan

Thanks for the responses guys. The car is not full weight car It is a bare bones SS No power options. Has Front weight reduction that consist of front bumper support gone no ac no ac condenser still has battery no AIR or EGR. I have a K-member but want to get some tubular a-arms before that goes in.
I can live with it not being stock height I want it to sit a little lower than stock. I have all the rear suspension all set spon adjustable torque are spon anti squat bar rear drag shock set at 50/50 stock springs. tubular rear trailing arms with relocation's brackets set on the lowest hole. I do drive it on the street not every day a couple times a week and to some cruses. Ill post some pics on how high it is now and what I can get it to.

Again thanks for the responses.

I just got my QA1-R installed and I am using a 300 spring .My ride height is around 26 1/8 on the pass front and 26 5/8 drivers side is about 1/2 inch higher which is common from factory I might bring the drivers down a little more. The 275 spring must be the reason you are have a hard time.

It's all set now
I cranked the **** out of the springs it was to high at first. I got them settled down right where I want them. The fender gap is 3.25" factory It was almost four. As for adjusting to get the fender gaps exact the passenger side the spring adjuster is 3/8" higher than the driver's side. I measure from the bottom of the shock Threads to the bottom of the lock nut. Its 5.75 on the passenger side and 5.375 (5 and 3/8's) on the drivers as I drive it I'm sure its going to settle. I Have them set on 6 for the street I'm going to try and set them on 1 at the track and go from there.
