Default Parking brake!!!

Ok, guys need your help. My parking/E brake on my 02 LS1 is very loose. When I engage it, it does all the way to the top and barely holds the car. It needs to be tightened up. How does one do this?

Jack up the rear and pull the tires off, and the calibers and the E brake should have a separate caliber like that that you can adjust on both sides.

Should the parking brake be engaged when doing this? How is it actually tightened...a bolt, what mechanism is there that does this?
Thanks

I believe it is a scew and the E brake needs to be unlocked (down) then when its adjusted you can pull the e brake to verify it grabs where you want it to grab
