Default 6 speed traction question

so what mods have the 6 speed guys done to get the car to hook from a dig. the auto guys have it easy.

so my car is down right now for a trans rebuild and clutch install (spec 3, drill mod and am making the stock master cylinder adjustable)

i have a set of 275/40/17 mickey thompson drag radial and lower control arm relocation brakets as of right now. cutting a shitty 1.9 60 foot.

in the mail i have the adjustable lower control arms and pan hard bar with polly bushings. and will i take the front sway bar off the next time i go to the track.

with the clutch install i should be able to slip the clutch a little better so the tires don't blow off.

after all the explaining my question is how are the 6 speed guys getting thier cars to hook better and what is the best method you have found to lowering the 60 foot times?

I pulled a best 60' of 2.005 in a 295/35/18 tire with 4.10's...

I just have an adjustable UMI torque arm, as far as suspension goes.

what psi are you using? the best i have seen was 22psi! if i went any lower it would spin! Best 60ft was a 1.6 not my car a friends but i have made many passes in it! Stock socks and springs up front and comp drag shocks i rear and umi torq arm set a -3 this was in a cam only vert with 3,900lbs race weight! We got a 1.5 60ft on a 75 shot and ran a 11.00

i roll around on the dr's at 20 psi. i have aired them down to as low as 13. a couple people are talking me into a set of adjustable shocks before the torque arm so that will probably be my next purchase

when your running 17" wheels you shouldnt go that low! The tires start to cup! Try 22psi next time at track! Thats the biggest problem with people running 275/40 17's They let to much air out!
