Default Autozone Rotors

Hey, I just bought a complete set of autozone rotor blanks and some raybestos quiet stop pads for the front and pg plus in the rear. Do I have to sand these rotors before I use them?

Just clean them off with brake clean to remove all the oily stuff used to keep them from rusting during shipping.....install, and enjoy!

yeah i just used some brake cleaner and wiped them off. i did paint the center part of mine so they would not get a rusty color. i suggest that as well as painting your calipers.. my front autozone are good.. my stock rears are warped to hell now..autozones are gooood

00NBM,
what kind of paint did you use to keep the rotors from rusting, and does it hold well?

I used Duplicolor black paint and a clear coat, which is a high temp paint. Still looks good after a couple months.

I agree with everyone else. Except the paint on my Autozone rotors peeled off. I cleaned them really well too then put on 2 coats of primer, 3 coats of paint, 2 coats of clear. Never again will I do that.
