A single adjustable bar is usually a bar with a polyurethane bushing on one end, and a heim joint on the other end. Thus only one side of it is actually adjustable.

A double adjustable bar has heim joints on both ends, so both ends are adjustable.

Well, not exactly. The double adjustable can be changed while still mounted on the car. The single adjustable must be dismounted on one end to adjust.
The types of ends (poly, rubber, rod) are up to the individual manufacturer.

UMI has an "On-Car" single adjustable panhard bar. That's what I got.

To add just a little to the on-car adjust definition; you have a left hand and right hand threaded end adjustment with jam nuts. To adjust, you have both jam nuts loose and you simply rotate the rod to move the chassis from side to side. Then snug the jam nuts when you're where you want to be. It doesn't get any easier than this.
