Default SFC's worth it at 80K?

Are SFC's worth doing with the car at 80K on the clock?

I'd say so. Stiffening up that chassis never hurts.

what does mileage have to do with it?

I have 115k on my car without subframes, but still plan on getting some...

Well, I had heard that it is better to get them on ASAP to keep the frames from getting all loose..

THe more mileage on the car, the "looser" the frames could be.. I was just curious as to whether or not it would make a difference..

I don't think that it has anything to do with the frames getting "looser". I think that if you put SFC on worn-out stock shocks, your ride quality will suffer. If you have good shocks, you may not notice a difference.

I've got the Hotchkis Swaybars (friggin Huge!), LCA, Relocation Brackets, TA, and Prokit... the car handles like cake right now... I wonder if SC's would even make a difference since i've done all the other things already... I still am gonna get some, just wondering if i'll notice a huge difference like everyone else does...

upgrading your shocks will make more of a difference than SFCs. you still riding on stock shocks at 80k with a prokit??? SHOCKS for the win!!!

Yeh, I need to do some suspension mods.. All I've got right now is a BMR shock tower brace.. That's it..

I could use some new shocks too, I'm at 80K with LG G2 springs..

Maybe I'll look into some shocks..

Most definitely. The shocks are really what's going to make a huge difference.

What's also going to wear out over several years and lots of mileage will be your bushings, ball joints, and mounts. Those always needs some inspection of sorts, even if they don't need replacement.

This is going to turn into another multi page thread.

The opinions I've noticed coming from certain people is that the road racers say the car's frame and chassis is pretty strong in the 4th gen and you will get little to no flex in the chassis. In a 3rd gen they would benefit because they do flex more. From the average joe's they seem to just say the chassis flex like crazy. From the drag race guys that they help you launch and twist less probably with the higher HP cars.

I've heard some people say these cars flex so much that the upper part of the window could end up with an inch of gap during a drag launch. I want to see pics of it though. There's plenty of those drag launch photos around. You'd think you'd see examples of it. I'm not convinced. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, I'm just saying I want to see it.

I just sold a perfect set of BMR Weld-In's.. Funny how things work..

2 months ago I had no real desire to do anything else to my car.. Now I've bought an LS6 intake and am getting a set of heads and a cam..
