Default Passenger Rear Squeak driving me insane!

For about 5 months now I have heard this squeaking (chirping) sound coming from the rear passenger side area, near the shock. It is driving me crazy!

If your standing outside the car and you press down on the back of the car...you can hear the sqeak! It is NOT coming from inside the car, so it is not the hatch.

I took it to a very experienced mechanic that I have known for years...and he examined my car for about 5 hours and said that it is my bushings.

He lubed up all my suspension bushings that he could find...LCA, Sway,...everything!

I got the car back and it has been very quiet for the first 2 days...but now the squeaks are back! What in the hell could this be? It really drives me nuts. It sounds like a bunch of chirping birds in the back of my car.

Please someone help me think of ideas to get rid of this sound. I am thinking of just replacing my Bilstein HD's and my shocks and see if that helps.

I've got squeaks but I've got aftermarket LCA's and after the dealership lubed them (much to my surprise, and my disappointment), they put crap lube in with my superlube, and that doesn't seem to be a great problem... otherwise, everything else is sprayed down with the other aerosol superlube since it has great qualities :o

May not be the same thing, but I had a squeak that sounds damn near identical to what you are describing. I ended up replacing the exhaust hangers and haven't noticed the squeaking since. May not hurt to take a look at this.

I put in the kyb adx adjustable rear shocks and those things squeak like crazy so I would assume the same deal with you the bushings are noisy also make sure you didnt tighten the shocks to much putting to much pressure on the bushing

Thanks for all the responses.

I sprayed some silicone lube on most of the suspension bushings and the squeaks seemed to stop for the time being.

I had this annoying *** squeak too, but it didn't turn out to be anything related to the suspension. Inside the car, behind the rear sail panels, there are styrofoam blocks that support them. They squeaked and rattled like nobody's business. I took them out and have been rattle free since then.
