Default Need brakes

Hello I have a 1999 Pontiac Trans-AM, for a long time the car has been shaking whenever I brake at high speeds. So I'm guessing it's time to change the brake rotors since they might be warped.

I will be changing the rotors, pads, brake lines. So far I've been looking at these sites and was wondering if any of you had any feedback.

http://www.stranoparts.com/searchbym...D=16&ModelID=8

http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/pe...8&brandid=4342

Which pads should I buy? (good performance, low disc wear, low noise and low dust if possible)

Also should I change the calipers as well?

My budget is around $1,000, any help would be appreciated

Thank you

At the risk of sounding ruder...
There are plenty of threads on this subject.
I could use the search feature and find plenty of threads.

A good brake-change would consist of the following:

Hawk HPS Ceramic Pads
Brembo Stock Rotors
Stainless Steel Brake Lines
and a good brake fluid flush

I have read around a lot, specifically your posts and I'm interested in a setup like yours. The problem is finding sites that sell the brembo blanks, which is what I'm interested in, as well as checking out some other brake kits on the cheap side.

So far Strano doesn't have the rear brakes, like most places I've found.

Tirerack doesn't have the front and the rears. Was thinking of purchasing their Cryo kit but read around here and they don't seem to be any better than the brembo blanks.

So its either wait around until they're in stock or purchase another set of discs. I've read around here that autozone sells some good discs, are they called Duralasts?

I'm thinking of using super glue racing fluid like you, how has your experience with it been?

Thank you for the reply, that's exactly what I'm looking for

Do you think I should change any other parts of the braking system? ( my car is from 99 and has about 20,000 miles)

BTW Aren't the hawk HPS pads non-ceramic, is there a ceramic set?

Super Blue.... not Super Glue

The fluid I bought is still in the original bottles.
I haven't had the chance to install it yet.

Many people on here use it and are satisfied.

I don't have any experience with the AutoZone DuraLast rotors, but I have heard good things about them.

There's nothing wrong with the ceramic pads it's just that people are willing to sacrifice (more brake dust and noise ) for a little more braking power.

You can buy them from tirerack
