Default Caliper mounting bracket?...help please

Not sure if that is the name of it or not...I circled it in the picture. The pins that are supposed to "float" or slide are rusted/stuck sticking out...preventing me from putting new brakepads on....can't break them loose for anything...do i have to get these from a dealer?...oreilly's said they can't get them. thanks

I ended up ordering a "new" caliper from Advance Auto Parts that had the bracket attached. I had the same problem as you, no matter what we did, the pins wouldn't come out.

$67 with a $40 core charge through Advance's sites. Cardone Unloaded Caliper W/Bracket: Remanufactured is what you're looking for.

You can use a torch to break the pin loose. It will take a lot of heat to get it to come apart but it does. I had this happen at one point. I bought a new bracket and then fixed the one that was stuck. I had to heat the pin up to the point that the grease bubbled out from the sides of the hole and then I was able to twist the pin back and forth till I got it free.
