69 Camaro brake conversion...
If someone could help me out here. New to the game and just got my 69 restored and was trying to convert my front drums into disc brakes. I heard of there being donor cars that you can use now to convert over. Now would a front 2002 Camaro setup work in this situation? Or what are the other donor cars? Any help would be greatfully appreciated. THANKS!!

You will have much better luck with putting this in the hybrid/conversion place.
As for your question about your brakes... are you wanting to put LS1 style brakes on it, or are you wanting to do like a factory brake? If you are wanting to go factory, look no further tahn Ebaymotors. They have all different kinds of setups that you can choose from. I did the LS1 style brakes on my 68 firebird that I had and wow they were awesome! Requires a little bit more work, but the results are amazing.

any 68-72 GM A-body discs will work. use the A body spindles and swap your arms for the steering linkage from left to right and use the A body dust plates. you will need a prop valve, but it works great and better then stock 69 camaro parts. due to the fact the calipers and rotors are larger for a bigger car. i used to own 3 69s and did this to all of them. any other 69 or first gen questions let me know. ive owned too many!..lol

Check out Ricks First Generation Camaro. http://www.firstgen.com They have complete conversion kits and have great technical service if you need it. When I bought my 67 it already had disc brakes on it. My friends 69 RS has drum brakes and there is a HUGE difference in how my car stops and his stops. Good luck with your conversion.
