Default Car jumps on bumpy roads!

I have a 2002 ws6 and whenever I hit a bump on the road the car practically jumps ten feet into the other lane! What is cure for this problem? I was thinking that maybe I needed to buy some adjustable shocks and that would give it a better ride quality. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I am sorry but this sticky does not help me much. My car is stock. I have heard other people mention the same thing about their cars and I was wondering if adjustable shocks, new springs, or both would cure this problem.
Thanks

I think you're exaggerating. Takes an awful lot of energy to
toss a car ten feet.

My car bumps a little from the rear end, when it hits a road
feature. This is the Panhard moving through its arc and the
cosine variation pushing the car laterally. If your shocks cut
the dynamic travel better this will also reduce.

If it bumps from the front end then consider an alignment.

The car tends to do that. If you get stiffer springs then the car will hop around more. I personally don't think its that big of a deal.

If you are hopping around that much though, you might have another problem
