Exclamation Help!! Steering shaft removal!!

I need to know how to remove the steering shaft in my 99 T/A. I have remove 1 bolt from the top and 1 from the bottom. I have tried yanking the shaft out and it wont budge. It is the only thing in the way of my header install and I am stuck until it is done.

Put a little screw driver under the bottom side and pry up. It's stuck cause the cars almost 10 years old Put a little anti-seize on it when you put it back together.

I managed to get a set of Mac Mid-Length headers installed w/o removing the shaft all the way. I couldn't get it out either. I just loosened it and moved it a tiny bit.

If you are installing longtubes(good luck in CA ) then it might have to come out all the way.
