Default Cut stock springs for a 2" drop on C6 19's.

Got my new wheels and tires last week. (before the drop pics are here too)
https://ls1tech.com/forums/wheels-tires/801164-got-my-19x10-c6-wheels-285-35-kumho-s-today.html
Well the car looked like a 4x4 so i wanted to drop it. I have always heard that cut stock springs are the worst way to lower a car. Well let me be the first to say that could not be further fron the truth!
I cut my springs for a total of a 2" drop in the front and a 1.5" drop in back.
I didn't want a 2" drop in the front but after hours of searching i could not find any information on how many coils to cut off for how much of a drop. All i read was "start with one coil" or "start with 1.5 coils". So i figured since my car was sittin VERY high i would start with 1.5 coils all the way around.
On the front i cut from the bottom of the spring and reinstalled. It ended up being a 2" drop. The rear i cut from the top and it was only a .5"-.75" drop. So i cut another coil on the rear and it ended up being 1.5" drop total for the rear.
RIDE QUALITY
The ride quality is AWSOME!!!!!!! I mean you can feel that the car is lowered but not like other cars i've driven. (LG springs, Eibachs, Hotchkis, ect) If i had to judge how much of a drop it was from the ride quality i would have guessed a .75" maybe 1" drop. It feels VERY close to stock.
HANDALING
It definatly handles better than stock around the corners, but not as good as aftermarket lowering springs. So handling is about inbetween stock and aftermarket springs.
I don't know if i want to raise the front or just leave it. The front tires do look pretty big tucked up in there. I'm running 285/35/19's all the way around. It probably would look a little better if i ran a 285/30/19 in the front but oh well i already have a pretty penny tied up in this set up so unless someone wants to do an even swap these tires are stayin.
The cool thing is though that even with the hellacious drop in the front i still have VERY good ground clearance because of the VERY tall 19" tires.
Soooo in conclusion i will never buy aftermarket springs ever again.
Oh and this car is a 99 and some 01, 02 cars i have worked on, look like they may sit higher. And the springs actually look bigger too, so taking off 1.5 coils infront might be ok on those. But i would still start with one coil in the front and two in the rear just to be safe.

Do you have stock shocks?

Cut springs and huge wheels?

Just don't sound like the best idea, I hope it works great for you though!

it looks tight but your going to notice the ride quality go down the tubes, the springs wont be able to handle it. Stance looks great though

When you have like no suspension travel left, do shocks really matter at this point?

Don't let the pictures fool you. i have PLENTY of suspension travel. It just doesn't look like it cause i have tall as 19" tires all the way around.
The front has 1/4" less travel (like i said i cut a little too much the first time) and the rear has 1/4" MORE suspension travel than if i would have kept the LG springs on the car.

How many inches is it to the crown of the fender in the front and rear? Does the car still drive straight now that the rear is not centered?

Front is 26.3" and rear is 27.2". Give or take a tenth.
Car drives PERFECTLY straight.
rear end is perfectly centered. I measured how off the rear end was and cut my PHB accordingly. Welded it back together and bam centered rear end. Actually its not perfect. It's off 1/16 of an inch.

Cutting springs isn't a big deal, the spring rate will be slightly stiffer, it's a cheap alternative to spending a **** load of money to buy new springs that will ride the same.

Im a little lost here... You spent a wad of money buying nice new C6 wheels and tires, but you cut your springs and your PHB then welded it back together? You can buy an adjustable PHB (MUCH stronger than the stock one) for around $100 new... Oh well, in about a week or two the stock shocks will be blown out, and its not going to be a very comfortable ride...
