Default Sway bar hitting shock...

OK, I just got a 1" sway bar and it is hitting my shock. Anyone else have this and how did you fix it. It is marring my shock pretty bad even just going around the block. I called the manufacturer and they said they have hear this before with this bar and a Moser rear since they sometimes intall the shock brackets too far inside. I adjusted my panhard rod some and it did not seam to help. I will adjust more but do not want it out of center. Only the pass shock. The drivers is ok.

1" On Car Driver side.

1" On Car Pass Side

Stock over 1" Comparrison Whole

Stock over 1" Comparrison Driver Side

Stock over 1" Comparrison Pass Side

Correction. It is hitting both shocks. I took off the sway bar and placed the stocker on top of it to compare and it seams to me it is not bent correctly. I will post pics soon.

Is that rearend narrowed? For comparison's sake, here are pictures of mine. Bear in mind, this is a stock swaybar with a stock length Moser 12-bolt.

Stock width. Your spacing looks the same as mine with the stock sway bar in.

In that case, I'm not sure how that aftermarket bar would fit. It looks like the bends aren't steep enough to clear the shocks. Sorry, I know that's not a very good answer, but I just can't see a way to make that fit.

WTF...I've had the stock bar and a ST 25mm bar on my rear, and neither came close to doing this. Honestly, that looks like an improperly bent bar...I'd hope the manufacturer would step up to the plate to fix this one, but you might be SOL since the bar now has damage. That SUCKS.

It is just scratched where it hit the shocks. No damage. Either way, I feel it is not bent correctly. I will call them again and see what happens.

In this day and age, I could see that being enough for them to say "tough luck." I hope you get this fixed, because it shouldn't be like that. Maybe it is the wrong part altogether, and was close enough that you were still able to get it to fit?

Called them again. They say they can't get tight enough radius on the material they use. They did say to measur eit and he would compare to others in stock to see if I got one that is off, but he still says Moser makes the shock mounts too narow. If it is correct to thier specs, I am not sure what to do as I can not use it. But I do not want to loose any money either as it is not my fault.

Got a tape measure handy? Can you measure center to center on the shock bolts? If so, my stock 10-bolt is sitting near by as well as my new Strange 12-bolt...I have a hard time believing that Moser would put them THAT far off.

I got about 40-40.5" center to center...kinda hard to tell exactly since I was doing it by myself, but you get the idea.

Thanks man. I will take a look tonight. I am at work right now. Is that for the strange or the 10 bolt? Can you measure the other one too?
