brakes are sticking! need help!

brakes are sticking! need help! well it started out i was changing my car back to an automatic(brake pedal swap). i get everything done and i have no brakes(super stiff pedal). so i go buy a new booster, (because i evidently screwed something up in the old booster when ii was putting the pedal assem. in or when i attached the rod). well the pedal feels fine, stops fine.
here is the problem
above 3k rpm the brakes are sticking until the rpms drop
i can let off the brakes and as long as i keep the motor above 3k the brakes will hold on a decent incline, until i let off the throttle.
you can put it in neutral and rev the motor past 3k with you foot on the brake and you can feel the pedal going to the floor gradually.
i am sure it is a booster problem, but i am know brake expert....... so i am looking for opinions.
it was not a gm booster, because they said it would be next week before they could get one, and i wanted to go to the track tommorow
