I'm honestly not sure about how much stopping is affected by these.. But I switched from semi metallic to ceramic recently and it feels about the same if not better. They are a lot quieter (no squeaking) and don't get as much brake dust all over the wheels. I hated cleaning my rims every week, sometimes more.

I daily drive my car and occasionally use it for pizza deliveries.

Oh, and this is the Autozone ceramic pads.. I'm sure the Hawk's will be better all around.

I'm not trying to hijack the thread, but how in the world do you guys get so much brake dust? I only ever notice any if wheels havent been washed in like a month plus. And my car is a DD. That said, Ive heard a lot of great things about ceramic pads.

I get I nice good coating of dust after about a week. I dont even drive my car that much. I think its because of the slotted rotors though. I have the Hawk ceramics and I like them A LOT. I know someone who went to the ceramic Hawks after having the HPS compound and he said they didnt produce half as much dust as the HPSs but the stopping power was definitely less. I will probably go with the HPSs when my ceramics are spent. Although that may take a while
