Stock Steering Rack Question On the passenger side of the steering rack, there is a band that goes around the rack and looks like it is what mounts it to the K-member. Is this band supposed to be spot welded to the rack? I'm thinking it should look like the top picture below, but mine looks like the bottom. I've got about 3 inches play each way from center and it looks like the whole steering rack is moving inside that band before actually moving the tie rods.
