Default Are adjustable LCAs overkill?

Just curious as to whether or not they are more than necessary for a H/C car w/ a factory 10-bolt...

Why would they be overkill anything over stock is better? your car tractions will increase you will have more of a natural feel. I have the non adjustable but thats what works for me on H/C maybe adjustable is better

Depends on the tolerance. Adjustables are for making the rear end square if it's off. Especially useful if lowered and running 315's; getting it square in the fender wells.

If you plan on running big tires/wheels, I think it would be a good idea. I have adjustables on my car. Not much difference in price. Mine were $200 ish and they are rod end on the axle and heavy duty rubber on the body.

I spent the extra money and got the adjustable ones. I plan on lowering and going with a 9" rear though.

Even if you don't plan to do either of those I think its better to get the adjustable ones in case you ever change your mind and then have to buy lca's a second time.

It will be cheaper in the end to get adjustable lca's.

I got mine more for the rod ends than the adjustability. Adjustability is just a side affect of the rod ends.

As for whether or not it's overkill, come on? Everything we do with our cars is overkill. That's the whole point.

I have boxed control arms and they solved some issues and make some more.

They helped with weird steering problems and less squeeking. Rides very hard over bumps, now. I still think the rear is a little off but it is better than it was.

One of the keys to making a suspension work is adjustability...They are not overkill, they are necessary...

I voted adjustable. Sure you are H/C on a 10 bolt now. I was at one time too. I bought non-adjustables, sold them and have adjustables now.

This hobby is worse than crack. At least with crack you can go to betty ford.

You will want to go faster sooner or latter. Invest the extra $$ now and you don't have to do it twice.

So if you ARE lowered, then adjustables are the way to go? B/C when I bought mine from UMI (non adj) I told Ryan what my plans were and he said I'd be fine with the non adj. BUT I am lowered and am running 315's in the back. I know the rear is centered with my ADJ PHB but Im running the non adj. LCA's. Does it really affect it that much?

as mentioned before, adj lcs'a if u r going to lower/add 315's and to center ur rear end. plus when launching street or strip does it to the right or left? or does it stay straight? if it pulls to either side adj lca's can/will fix this..... mine used to pull to the right, I got H/C, M6, 9" w/4.10 now. with 9" pull got even worse, now that I adjusted my lca's it pull straight every time......... thats why I say adjustables.................

Definitely adjustable for centering the rear. We've seen cars that were off by as much as 3/4" in some cases.

i say go with the adjustable....they don't cost all that much more, and the versatility you get with them can't be beat.

especially if it's a daily driver/auto-x/road race car, you want a rod-end on at least one of the ends of the LCA's to help keep them from binding when cornering.

about the only time i'd go with a non-adjustable LCA is if it was a drag racing trailer queen of a car, and was never driven anywhere else.
