Default WTF? My Tower brace doesn't fit

Tower brace is used from a 2k2 z28 that was in a fire.

my car is a 2k2 z28 that's been in a wreck

What's more likely? my car is screwed from the wreck awhile ago (been repaired, hit on pass. quarter) or the tower brace warped while bolted to the car on fire?

here's a pic (I repainted it)

Car it came from

Try unloading the suspension, if your car's not too messed up it should fit like that. Seems to be a common thing.

Might just be the cars warped a bit. ^^ do as tha man says.

I have a 3pt version that had to be muscled onto my old Z, that was in an accident. And it goes in with little fuss on the SS.

i know this seems stupid and you've probably tried it, but how bout flipping it around? I was looking to see if one would fit on my car, and at first i thought it wouldn't, but then realized i needed to flip it around - and now it will fit

This is one reason to like the Hotchkiss STB, easier install (in
pieces). But yeah, it's semi-normal production slop and body
flex. Try a nose-lift by the crossmember, and see if the shock
towers spread enough for you. If not you will have to pilot the
flage over those studs, maybe sleeve them with a couple of
segments of fuel line and see if you can tap it on down with
a mallet.

You could always heat it back up, get it to fit, then just take it off after its fitted(once its cooled) and re-paint it...Im sure thats just way to much work for it to fit though.
