c5 z06 Brakes

No. You can put the C5 caliper onto your mounting bracket, but there is little point in this other than looks. The LS1 caliper uses BIGGER pistons than the C5 caliper, since the C5 stuff uses a 13" rotor compared to the LS1 12" (bigger rotor = more leverage = smaller pistons needed).
If you do the whole C5 upgrade, with C5 rotors and calipers, you get the bigger rotors and the stronger C5 calipers. Just doing the calipers doesn't help.
Also, base C5, C5 Z06, and base C6 calipers are all functionally the same.

The reason is because my stock mounting brackets are "broken". The bolts that slide in and out with grease are froze in there (don't ask me how) and I thought it would be a cool upgrade. If for only appearance, then I suppose I need to find new OEM brackets for my brakes.

The C5 bracket bolts on with 14mm bolts, the f-body bracket bolts on with 12mm bolts. That alone will keep it from being a bolt on swap. And, even if you get it in there, I'm not exactly sure how it's going to line up with the rotor. I'd dig up the proper PAB's and replace your bad ones.
